Overview
This one-part webinar series is an introductory level course based on the Hydraulic Institute’s Commercial Building Services Guidebook that was published.
The Pump Applications Guideline for Commercial Building Services is intended to assist those to understand the general layout, components and operation of a typical commercial building. This webinar series will also provide the guidance necessary to select pump types and define pump materials to perform effectively, efficiently and reliable in the various building system operations.

Michael Licastro – received a Mechanical Engineering degree from the State University College at Buffalo, and has over 25 years of practical experience in the application, design, and troubleshooting of Hydronic and Steam systems. His industry career began as an Outside Sales Engineer for a premier Manufacturers Representative company, working with every level of project stakeholders to ensure correct application and selection of products, proper piping system design, and evaluation of existing system problems, concluding with a corrective action plan. Currently, Mike is the Education and Training Manager for Commercial Business and HVAC at Bell & Gossett, a Xylem Company, which includes the oversight of the Little Red Schoolhouse training facility, e-Learning web based training, and content updates to Technical Manuals. Mike is a Past-President of the Niagara Frontier Chapter of ASHRAE, a Certified Instructor and Pump Systems Assessment Professional (PSAP) for the Hydraulic Institute, and has served as a Technical Instructor for multiple Steam and Pipe Fitters Union Apprentice Programs, located in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Webinar Instructions
- To join the live webinar session, participants must login to their accountand click the "Contents" tab, then select "View Live Webinar Session". After the webinar session concludes, return to the Contents tab. Note that a recording of the webinar will be available shortly after the live session.
- Participants must pass a quiz in order to claimPDH credits and a certificate.Click"Complete Quiz for Live Webinar" to begin the quiz. Participants will have 10 attempts and must achieve at least 80% correct to pass.After completing the quiz, return to the Contents tab.
- To claim PDH credits and print a certificate, click “Claim Credits & Certificate", then select the“View/Print Your Certificate” button. If you ever lose your certificate, you can come back to the PSM website and view it on your transcript (found in the Dashboard).
